Bonds.PH by UnionBank is transitioning to the PDAX platform by September 23, 2026.

Bonds.PH by UnionBank, the app that allows customers to buy or sell Philippine Treasury Bonds, will transition to the PDAX platform on September 23, 2026. In line with this, Bonds.PH accounts with bonds and funds will also be automatically transitioned to the PDAX platform.

This transition is being implemented to comply with applicable regulatory requirements. This will also provide customers with access to a broader range of investment opportunities. However, UnionBank will continue to serve as your point of contact for all bond investment-related concerns and assistance.

The transition will take effect on September 23, 2026. Customers with bond holdings and/or funds will receive an email from PDAX with instructions on how to access their account on the PDAX platform.

If you have bond holdings and/or funds in your Bonds.PH account, you will be able to access and manage them through the PDAX platform beginning September 23, 2026. 

 

If you no longer have any bond holdings and PHP balances in your Bonds.PH account, your account will be closed as part of this transition.

Yes. Until September 18, 2026, you may continue to access the Bonds.PH by UnionBank app to manage your account, sell your bond holdings, and/or withdraw your available PHP balances.

If you agree to transition your account to the PDAX platform, no action is required on your part. Your account and bond holdings and/or PHP balances will automatically be transitioned on September 23, 2026. An email will be sent from PDAX with instructions on how to access their account on the platform.

 

If you do not wish to transition to PDAX, you can still manage your account via the Bonds.PH app until September 18, 2026. You have the option to move your balances to your UnionBank accounts or explore other options for you. If you need assistance, visit any UnionBank branch or contact your UnionBank Relationship Manager. 

 

If no action is taken by September 18, 2026, your account, bond holdings, and PHP balances will be automatically transitioned to the PDAX platform on September 23, 2026.

If you do not wish to transition to PDAX, you can still manage your account via the Bonds.PH app until September 18, 2026. You have the option to move your balances to your UnionBank accounts or explore other options.

PDAX, or Philippine Digital Asset Exchange (PDAX), Inc. Through their platform, Bonds.PH users will be able to access their accounts and available services following the transition. Their digital asset platform provides secure and easy-to-use access to digital investment products. 

 

PDAX is supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

UnionBank partnered with PDAX to launch the Bonds.PH by UnionBank app, making it easier and more convenient for customers to buy and sell Philippine Treasury Bonds. UnionBank connects customers to available bond offerings, while PDAX acts as the technology partner that powers the platform. 

 

As part of the transition, Bonds.PH users that will be transitioned to the PDAX platform may directly explore investment options available to them on the platform. UnionBank will continue to serve as the point of contact for bond investment-related concerns and assistance.

No action is required at this time. Beginning September 23, 2026, you will be able to access your bond holdings and PHP balances through your existing PDAX account.

On September 22, 2026, you will receive an email with step-by-step instructions on how to access your account on the PDAX platform. Beginning September 23, 2026, you will be able to access your bond holdings and PHP balances through your new PDAX account.

You will receive a PDF copy of your transaction history via email before September 23, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

1. Download the Bonds.PH app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google PlayStore (for Android devices).

2. Once you have clicked the Sign Up button, set a 6-digit PIN.

3. Check your inbox and click the verification link that we’ve sent to your email address to complete your registration.

4. Open the Bonds.PH app and sign up by providing your complete name, email address, and mobile number.

Please make sure that you’ve read our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before you proceed.

After you’ve signed up, verified your email address, and completed your registration, you will need to undergo customer identification and verification to access our range of services.

Once Account Verification is complete, you will be able to ‘Cash in’ to the app. Using the cash you have on the app, you can go to ‘Bonds Available’ and place your order. The minimum order amount varies. For the current issuance (RTB-25), you may invest for as low as Php 5000.

The app will prompt you to input personal information, and to verify your identity, you will be asked to upload a photo of your ID, and a selfie.

You just need one (1) valid primary ID.

Once Account Verification is complete, you will be able to ‘Cash in’ to the app. You can select from the menu of cash in channels, subject to fees.

To withdraw your cash balance from the app, you can select from the menu of cash in channels like InstaPay, PesoNet, and through electronic money wallets.
